The Ruff Pack.
This project consists of three musicians who share the same passion for good music. The
Band blends and mixes the improvisational and compositional complexity of Jazz and the
rustic groove and frenetic energy of HipHop. This clashing of cultures appears more prevalent
in New York City, the home base of The Ruff Pack.
Based on the classic jazz guitar trio The Ruff Pack takes music to another level. All musicians
are well experienced in both worlds, Jazz and HipHop/Soul.
Stephan Kondert and Matthias Loescher collaborated in many different projects for more than
15 years. In Justin Brown they found the perfect match for their open-minded visions.
The Ruff Pack takes listeners on a journey that stimulates the mind and the heart. But also, the
band is proud of calling their style “danceable”. The weaving together of high musical
sophistication and deep, soulful groove makes The Ruff Pack outstanding.
